The world famous winery Villa Maria Estate in New Zealand was the unlikely venue for a Flat Out Formula 1 Grand Prix with participants from Turners.

Facilitated by Catalyst Global partner's in New Zealand, Team Up Events, teams from Turners joined at lakeside Villa Maria Estate and were challenged to build a life size Formula 1 racing car out of cardboard in under 3 hours.

Using a specially designed flat out cardboard kit, instructions, tools and axels each team collaborated to design a strategy that would enable them to work together involving all team members to quickly, accurately and effectively construct an F1 racing car.

Once each team had successfully constructed the car they set about to decorate their vehicles with branding and choose a driver for their vehicle!

The cars were at the starting line, participants dressed in racing garb, the checkered flag flew and teams raced their cars along a 120 metre dash to the finish admit cheers and squeels of delight!

Teams gathered under the finish arch and reflected on what had been an amazing team effort to transform a pile of cardboard into a replica of a F1 car.
